Properties zoned for nightly rentals in Whistler are broken down into two types: Phase I and Phase II.
Phase II nightly rental properties
Phase II properties make up the majority of the hotel type (hotel condo) properties found in Whistler. Phase II properties offer full ownership but with owner usage restricted to 28 days in the summer and 28 days in the winter.
When a unit isn’t owner occupied it is placed in a rental pool and generates revenue. These properties are managed by a property management company. Popular Phase II ownership opportunities in Whistler include: the Delta Whistler Village Suites, the Westin Resort Whistler, Pan Pacific Mountainside, Pan Pacific Village Centre and the Four Seasons Resort.
There are two Hotel Condo buildings that are zoned as a Phase I property, The Hilton Whistler Resort and Tantalus.
